In 2018, Adriana Horton noticed a vacant space next to Garden Society and became obsessed with the building. She began to envision what her shop would look like, imagining a space that's welcoming, comfortable and authentic.
Heritage Hall was packed with both new and returning students lined up for the Spin the Block Multicultural Welcome Back Mixer Thursday evening. The Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion, Minority Mentors and Opportunity Scholars partnered with QuadWorks to host the event.

Wiggs Hall was opened in 1903 as the first science building on the Macon campus and was originally built to host chemistry, pharmacy and physics classes.
“I am glad I took this course,” Manuel Flores said. “I've made some good memories because of it and it’s given me a reason to smile more.”
The weekly market was founded in 2009 by the Community Health Works and the City of Macon as a means to provide sustainable food while also aiding local businesses and farmers, according to the Mulberry Market website.
The show is part of the senior exhibition seminar course, which is a requirement for both art department majors. The title, "Stairway Wit," was chosen as an allusion to the artists' Mercer careers.
"I love seeing students present their ideas,” said Briana S. Stenard, assistant professor of Management and Entrepreneurship. “I know it takes a lot of courage to present your ideas to a panel of judges, so I am just so proud of our students."

An SFP is a food distribution center that gives food to those who have food insecurity. The Food as Medicine Market will also be offering education on general good nutrition.
Bearthon is a nine-hour dance marathon event where MU Miracle and students from all over Mercer raise money for the Beverly Knight Children’s Hospital, celebrate all the accomplishments they’ve made over the past year, and bond with the Miracle community to share their passions for the organization and the Miracle kids.
Rylan Allen and Abigail Yemisrach were previously announced as the SGA President and Vice President for the 2022-23 school year.
These programs do not offer extra preparation for professional school but instead offer peace of mind to pre-professional students allowing them a better chance of admission to graduate or professional school and in some cases, the chance to accelerate and start their careers early.
“What better place to start the next 200 years than right here, in the center of our community,” Miller said. “This is truly a community effort (…) We’re going to have each and every person provide their input so this can be your amphitheater.”
In an uncontested election, junior Rylan Alen will continue his tenure as Student Government Association President. Junior Abigail Yemisrach will replace current Vice President and soon-to-be-graduate Natalie Yaeger.
