The Mercer University softball team will host a Winter Advance Hitting Clinic on Jan. 18 from 12-2 p.m. The clinic is open to grade school students currently in 7th to 12th grade.
The event will take place inside the team's stadium, Sikes Field, and anyone is welcome to view the event from the stadium's seating. Anyone interested in participating in the clinic is asked to sign up as soon as possible as spots are limited.
Along with meeting head coach Lindsay Fico, participants will also get to meet two new members of the staff who played prominent roles with the softball team at Florida State University: Devyn Flaherty and Kalei Harding.
Even if you are not able to make it to this event, you will have time to make plans to catch the teams first game of the season that will be at home on Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. against Saint Joseph's University. The Bears are looking to improve from a 23-30 record and ranking No. 5 in the conference.
