As finals week at Mercer University begins, here are five on-campus study spots for finals preparation:

1. Campus Life Office

A hidden gem for studying, the Campus Life Office is great for students who need a casual but focused space to get work done. Plus, the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make it an underrated choice.

2. Godsey Science Center

A common favorite area due to its spacious study areas, whiteboards, and lab-inspired aesthetics. This building is perfect for science majors or anyone seeking a modern study vibe. Bonus: It’s usually dead silent.

3. Academic Resource Center (ARC)

Located in Ryals Hall, the ARC offers a productive environment with tutoring support and plenty of seating. It's great for those who enjoy working alongside others in a collaborative atmosphere. With its welcoming vibe and resources designed for academic success, the ARC is an ideal spot for both productive study sessions and peer connection.

4. Bottom 24-Hour Library Floor

Accessible anytime, the lower level of the library is ideal for night owls. Whether students are cramming for exams or finishing a project at odd hours, this floor provides a group-friendly study space, though beware, it is known to be a bit loud.

5. Top floor of the Library

Known for being much more quiet than the bottom floor, this is the go-to spot for focused study sessions. The individual cubicles and serene environment are perfect for minimizing distractions.

"There's a corner room on the third floor of the library that's really nice because it has a window overlooking the whole campus. It’s perfect for groups with the whiteboard, and it's definitely my favorite place to study," said Shreyan Ghelani, ‘28 a freshman biology major.

Which spot is your favorite?
