The 2023 theme for Mercers Homecoming festivities has been announced by Quadworks. This year is themed “Toby Tunes” and will be styled around cartoons and animation, as according to Mercer's Quadworks Campus Activity Board, which organizes Mercer’s Homecoming.

Mercer Homecoming consists of many different activities spanning from Nov 6-11, such as physical activities, decorating events, and movie nights amongst other festivities.

Homecoming week peaks for many students with the popular lip-sync battle between student organizations. This year's lip-sync is titled “Tune-sync”, and each group must prepare a 5-minute lip-syncing routine.

Greek Life and student organizations are encouraged to get involved and form teams to participate in the activities and earn points for their group.

The week ends with the annual Homecoming football game, which Mercer will play against the Samford Bulldogs.Homecoming royalty is also announced at the football game. Students can vote for representatives from their favorite organizations to be crowned Homecoming king and queen.

Homecoming is also a special time for alumni to return to campus, and participate in tailgates from specific groups. This year's Homecoming honors the 50th anniversary of the Class of 1973 according to Mercer's website.
