This week, the Cluster is spotlighting Macon’s very own Peaches the cat!

Princess Peach, also known as Peaches, affectionately got her name from the pinkish peach-toned color she had when she was a kitten. Peaches was adopted from a litter of cats owned by a Macon family.

“She's a golden color, but when she was little she looked a bit pink, like a fuzzy peach!” Lauren Bennett ‘24 said. Bennet is a nursing major with a minor in psychology.

Peaches’ hobbies include napping, getting rubs from her Auntie Drew and zooming around the living room. Her favorite places to nap include the back of the couch and underneath the Christmas tree during the holiday season. Much like other cats, another pastime she enjoys is watching birds from the window. Peaches thoroughly enjoys Temptations cat treats in the Backyard Cookout flavor, and when those are not available, she will lick any fuzzy blanket in sight.

Peaches is a delight, and much like her owner says: “To know Peaches is to love Peaches.”
