The Try Guys try to explain what happened

Shocking news from The Try Guys has rocked the internet, which has resulted in Ned Fulmer being removed from the popular YouTube channel. The news of this incident surprised many fans as a statement was delivered from the Try Guys channel on Monday by remaining Try Guys Zach Kornfeld, Keith Habersberger and Eugene Lee Yang.

“We just want you to know that we had no idea this was going on,” Habersberger said in the statement. “All of that information was just as shocking to us as all of this has been for you this week.”

Fulmer, a former manager and previously one of the four eponymous Try Guys, had been involved in what Fulmer, on his Instagram page, called “a consensual workplace relationship” with one of his employees. Fulmer had been in a relationship with his employee for an unspecified amount of time while married to his wife, Ariel Fulmer, the mother of their two children.

“This behavior was contrary (...) to the values of the company we built and everyone who works here,” Lee Yang said with a notably disappointed expression. “And thus began a three-week process involving employment lawyers, corporate lawyers, HR, PR and more in order to make sure we were taking all necessary steps.”

As a result, Lee Yang, Kornfeld and Habersberger approved the removal of Fulmer as a manager and employee at Second Try LLC.  Furthermore, Fulmer has been edited out of videos and removed from all work activities in order to minimize Fulmer’s presence on the channel.

“We immediately removed Ned from work activities and engaged an HR professional to conduct a thorough review of the facts,” Kornfeld explained. “We also opted to remove Ned from our releases, pending results of that review.”

These releases include removing his section from Try Guys videos, digitally removing him altogether and not using his likeness for future merchandise. The Try Guys team is incredibly grateful to their editing staff for how hard they’ve worked to adjust their channel.

The Try Guys have decided that many of their videos featuring Fulmer were unreleasable, possibly including the rest of their new television series, No Recipe Road Trip with the Try Guys, and they said they are proud of their costly decision.

As the Try Guys continue to navigate through this difficult time, they continue to ask for privacy and kindness while they continue moving forward without Fulmer.
