Men’s Golf
At the Pinetree Intercollegiate, in Kennesaw, Georgia, Mercer came first of 11 teams, finishing 22 strokes ahead of second place. Tobias Jonnson ‘24 had yet another first-place finish, followed by Gustav Sjoberg ‘24 who was only eight strokes behind and tied for fifth place. The team beat out competition from other Georgia schools like Georgia State and Kennesaw State at the tournament.
Their next tournament starts Oct. 30 in Charleston, South Carolina.
Women’s Golf
The Bears faced tough competition at The Ally in West Point, Mississippi. Mercer finished last out of 11 teams. Mercer can hang its hat on holding its own against large schools such as the University of Alabama, University of Illinois and University of Mississippi. Mercer was led by Kate Song ‘25 who finished 32nd overall.
Their next tournament is here in Macon at the Mercer Invitational starting on Oct. 31.
