Ask the esthetician with Kayleigh Irby

Q: Becca Mayo, what’s in your makeup bag?

A: This week I sat down with senior communications major Becca Mayo. She is not only smart, kind and funny, but also highly involved in the Mercer and Macon communities. Currently she is staff writer for The Cluster, member of Phi Mu and an intern with a local news station, Fox 24 and ABC 16. I wanted to peek into her makeup bag and find out all her secrets of how she stays so polished and beautiful while being so busy.
In her makeup bag I found:
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream and Lip Balm. Becca loves these products because they are super moisturizing but not heavy or greasy. The face cream gives skin a natural glow.
MARK blush. This product is a blush and bronzer, so it’s a one-stop shop. The best part is that the blush looks natural in the light and doesn’t get cakey.
Clinique Color Surge Eyeshadow Duo in “Strawberry Fudge”. This is the perfect shadow to take you from day to night. The colors are buildable and playful.
Mac Lipstick in “Lovelorn”. This lipstick is the perfect shade of pink and looks great on all skin tones, even the fairest.
Mac Plushglass “Fool for You”. This gloss looks good alone but also looks great over any lipstick. It’s perfect for a light makeup day because it’s neutral and classy.
Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara. This product is quick and simple, non-greasy and makes even the fairest of lashes stand out.
Kiehl’s products can be found at kiehls.com and all other products can be found at Sephora.com.
