Emily Rose Thorne, Digital Editor
Emily Rose Thorne, this year’s Digital Editor, is a junior double-majoring in Journalism and Women’s & Gender Studies and minoring in History. Emily Rose has been involved with The Cluster since 2017 as Staff Writer, Lead News Writer and News Editor. She interned with Georgia Public Broadcasting in Macon throughout summer 2019, and her news spots and radio features aired locally and on statewide programs On Second Thought and All Things Considered. She served as Senior Editor of Step Up Magazine, an online media startup by and for millennials, from 2017-2019, and interned with Atlanta Magazine in 2018 on their digital team. Emily Rose is the host and producer of a podcast, Between The Bills, in collaboration with PULP Magazine. Through BTB, she hopes to dispel negative stereotypes about the Southeastern United States by highlighting grassroots activism and the greater impact of local reproductive justice advocacy.
