Nu-Way opens in Mercer Village

Nu-Way Weiners opens Monday in Mercer Village.
May 16, 2016
Local hot dog favorite Nu-Way Weiners opened its Mercer Village location May 16.
The Montpelier Avenue store has been in the works since last year. Nu-Way took over the space formerly occupied by Fountain of Juice, which closed its doors over Thanksgiving break.
Nu-Way has been in Macon since 1916 – expanding from its original location on Cotton Avenue to five other locations in town, two stores in Warner Robins and one in Fort Valley. The restaurant is famous for its red-colored hot dogs. The original Cotton Avenue store burned in a March 2015 fire and has not yet been rebuilt.
The Mercer Village Nu-Way will be open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
