The second suspect in the killing of Mercer basketball player Jibri Bryan was arrested Friday evening, according to a report from the Telegraph.

Damion Henderson, a 33-year-old originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, was captured by U.S. Marshal’s Southeastern Regional Task Force as he attempted to escape from an apartment in Decatur, Georgia. Henderson has ties to west Macon.

Jarvis Clinton Miller, the other suspect in the case, was arrested Wednesday morning.

Bryan, a sixth-year senior from Savannah, was shot and killed Tuesday while sitting inside of a white Monte Carlo. The car was parked outside of the Flash Foods convenience store on the corner of Forsyth and College streets.

Soon after the incident, Miller, 24, was found on Orange Street, matching the clothing description given by witnesses of the man who fled the scene with a handgun. Miller, who may have been shot by his partner in the crime, was taken to Navicent Health and is listed in stable condition.

Via Twitter, WMAZ’s Paula Rotondo first reported that Sheriff David Davis said they had a warrant for a second suspect who apparently fled the scene in a white 2012 Nissan Sentra.

Rotondo also tweeted that Davis said the investigators found a bundle of cash and a “suspicious substance” outside of Bryan’s vehicle.

Bryan had just returned to the court for the past three games after missing 17 outings with a knee injury this season. He was 23 years old.
